Client Quickstart
Who this guide is for: First-time Trade1 users
Reading time: About 2–3 minutes
Scope: Trade1 currently supports sports, esports, crypto, finance, politics, technology, culture, elections, art, and weather. Each category has at least one production Market accepting orders; the page status controls whether a specific Market is tradable.
Last updated: September 7, 2026
This is a quick-use card. The full Market proposition, observation scope, deadline, and any special settlement conditions always take priority. For complete guidance, see Trade1 Trading and Match Rules and the relevant category rules.
Understand Trade1 in 30 seconds
Trade1 turns clear-outcome propositions in sports, esports, crypto, finance, politics, technology, culture, elections, art, and weather into tradable prediction Markets:
- Choose YES if you believe the proposition will be true.
- Choose NO if you believe the proposition will not be true.
- Once your order is filled, you receive the corresponding shares. You may sell them while trading is permitted or hold them until settlement.
- Prices can change. A current price does not represent the event result and does not guarantee that an order will be filled.
Five rules to know before you start
- Read the full proposition first. Special conditions shown on the Market page take priority.
- Two-decimal precision applies. Shares, user amounts, and system quotes all use a minimum precision of
0.01. - Normal settlement. Each share of the correct outcome pays
1; each share of the incorrect outcome pays0. - Special settlement. If an event is interrupted, a Market is cancelled, a result is unavailable for a long period, a Market closes abnormally, or the platform forcibly settles it, YES and NO are handled at their respective special-settlement prices. The position and ledger records are final.
- Trading involves risk. Prices can change and you may lose the full amount you used to buy.
Get started in eight steps
Step 1: Enter Trade1 and understand the page categories
- Enter Trade1 from your merchant platform.
- Trade1 currently offers tradable Markets in sports, esports, crypto, finance, politics, technology, culture, elections, art, and weather.
- On your first visit, you can select How It Works at the top of the page for a quick introduction.
- Confirm that the page shows your account, display currency, available funds, and portfolio entry point.
Step 2: Choose a match, event, or topic
- Select the category you need.
- Choose a match, event, or topic from the cards.
- Check its name, start time or deadline, Market status, and the current outcome options.
- A category appearing on the page does not mean that every Market in it can be traded at all times; rely on the actual Market status.
Step 3: Read the full proposition and determination conditions
Before submitting, check the following carefully:
- The full Market proposition, not only the shortened card text.
- For sports or esports, the match scope, stage, game, set, map, round, or overtime conditions.
- For event Markets, the observation time, time zone, threshold, and definition of the final result.
- The current outcome options, quotes, available quantity, and data-update time.
Step 4: Choose an outcome direction
- For a binary Market, choose YES or NO.
- Where the page provides multiple outcome options, choose according to that Market's display; do not force a multi-outcome Market into a single YES/NO example.
- After choosing, check the proposition, direction, and outcome conditions again.
Step 5: Choose to buy or sell
The trading panel first lets you switch between Buy and Sell.
Buy
- Enter the amount you want to spend. The system calculates the estimated shares from the valid price, available depth, and precision.
- Fixed-amount shortcut buttons still mean that you are entering a purchase amount.
Sell
- Enter the number of shares you want to sell. It must not exceed your currently available position.
- Shares already reserved by an active sell order cannot be sold again.
Step 6: Choose an order method and confirm
- Market order: Attempts to fill the entire order at current valid quotes within Trade1's fixed 3% price protection. It either fills in full or does not fill at all.
- Limit order: Set a price and validity period, then wait for the conditions to be met. It may fill partially and is not guaranteed to fill.
- Before submitting, check the Market, direction, purchase amount or shares to sell, price, estimated shares, fees, fixed 3% price protection, validity period, net-position limit, and risk notice.
- Do not click repeatedly after submission; wait for the current request to return.
Step 7: Review orders, fills, and your portfolio
- Filled: The corresponding shares are added to or removed from your position.
- Partially filled: This applies only to a limit order. The filled portion is effective; the remainder continues to wait, may be cancelled, or is released according to the order status.
- Pending: A limit order remains valid and reserves the applicable funds or shares.
- Cancelled / expired: Filled portions remain effective; unfilled portions stop trading.
- Unclear status: Refresh your orders, fills, positions, and ledger records before submitting again.
The Portfolio entry at the top of the page can be used to view positions and asset results. The exact page name and navigation depend on the current version.
Step 8: Wait for the result and check settlement
The end of a match or event does not mean a Market settles immediately. Wait for the official settlement status, then check:
- The final result and Market status.
- The direction and number of shares still held at settlement.
- Whether the settlement is normal or special.
- The settlement direction, shares, price, amount, exchange-rate value, converted-currency amount, posting time, and ledger record.

Sports and esports
Sports and esports rules are maintained by discipline. The sports rules cover football, basketball, tennis, cricket, baseball, ice hockey, American football, rugby union, rugby league, volleyball, handball, badminton, table tennis, golf, boxing, MMA, motor and motorcycle racing, cycling, athletics, swimming, skiing and winter sports, darts, snooker, poker, and chess. The esports rules cover League of Legends (LoL), CS2, Dota 2, VALORANT, and Overwatch.
Football
- Determinations default to 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
- Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded by default unless a Market expressly says they are included.
- Propositions such as “to qualify” or “to win the championship” are determined by the final result of the applicable stage.
- Total-goals, both-teams-to-score, correct-score, and statistics Markets are determined by the scope specified on the page and the final system result.
- A postponement normally only extends trading time. Once an interruption is confirmed, special settlement applies. If the system cannot obtain a result usable for settlement, the Market enters Pending Settlement.
League of Legends (LoL)
- First confirm whether the Market concerns a series or a specified map.
- A series winner is determined by the final series result; a map winner is determined only by that specified map.
- When an original map is officially ruled void and remade, data before the remake is not used for final determination.
- If a team surrenders in a valid map and is officially recorded as having lost, the official map result applies.
- Kills, first blood, towers, dragons, Rift Heralds, Barons, and duration are determined by the final system result.
- A forfeit, disqualification, format change, or an unplayed specified map can place the affected Market into special settlement.
See Trade1 Sports Prediction Market Rules and Trade1 Esports Prediction Market Rules for the full discipline-specific rules.
Event prediction Markets
- Crypto and finance: Check the asset, metric, price type, observation time, and currency.
- Politics and elections: Check the jurisdiction, candidate or office, certified result, recounts, and deadline conditions.
- Technology: Check the definition of the product, feature, or launch event and the deadline.
- Culture and art: Check the organizer and official result for the work, award, chart, auction, or event.
- Weather: Check the location, observation station, metric, unit, time range, and resolution condition.
For every category, the full proposition and final Trade1 settlement record take priority. See Trade1 Event Prediction Market Rules for the complete category rules.
Settlement at a glance
Normal settlement
Correct outcome: each share pays 1
Incorrect outcome: each share pays 0
Example: if you still hold 20.00 shares of the correct outcome, the settlement amount is 20.00.
Cancellation, abnormal closure, or forced settlement
YES shares × YES special-settlement price
NO shares × NO special-settlement price
Special settlement is not a refund at the original purchase amount. The two directions settle separately: first use the current valid sell price for that direction when the system obtains the abnormal status; if none exists, look back without a time limit for the most recent valid sell price; if none can be obtained, use the weighted-average purchase fill price of the user's remaining position in that direction. Fees are excluded from position average price and settlement calculations.
At-a-glance checklist
Before trading
- Is the match and Market correct?
- Have you read the full proposition and special conditions?
- Have you selected the correct YES or NO outcome?
- Are the amount, shares, quote, fixed 3% price protection, net-position limit, and fees acceptable?
After trading
- Did a market order fill in full or not fill at all? Did a limit order fill, partially fill, remain pending, or fail?
- Are the actual shares and fill price correct?
- Are funds or shares still reserved by a pending order?
After settlement
- Was the settlement normal or special?
- Do the settlement price, settled shares, and amount agree?
- Has the ledger record been updated?
Four common questions
Q: Why is the final fill price different from the page price?
A: Quotes can change, and a larger trade may use several price levels. The official fill record is final.
Q: Why did my limit order fill only partially?
A: There was not enough quantity available at your price condition. The filled portion enters your position and the remainder continues to wait.
Q: Why have I not received settlement after the match ended?
A: The end of a match does not mean the Market has settled. If the system temporarily cannot obtain a result usable for settlement, the Market shows Pending Settlement while Operations handles it manually.
Q: What should I do if settlement is missing, duplicated, or the amount is wrong?
A: Submit your user ID, Market ID, order or ledger-record ID, issue time, and a redacted screenshot through merchant customer support. Operations checks execution or ledger errors and may provide manual compensation or correction; this does not re-determine the Market result.
